DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN

 Day 1 .- CUSCO – CACHORA – CHIK'ISCCA.

We will meet you at your hotel at 5.00 am then drive for 3 hours to Cachora village where we will have breakfast and prepare our bags before we begin the hike. The first 2 hours hike will be along a beautiful, descending path, there is spectacular views of the valley and river. The path is surrounded bychoquequirao-trek-4days-tours-cusco-cuzco-2 lovely flowers and plants such as begonias, orchids, cacti and you can see some rare local birds. Once we arrive to Capuliyoc 2.900 meters above sea level (look out point), we will have the privilege to see spectacular views of Padrayoc snow capped mountain (5.400 meters). At this point we will have some time to enjoy our snacks and take plenty of pictures of the Apurimac canyon and the river below. Then we will descend through a unique zigzag path for 2 hours to reach our place for lunch. The path along the route will have some breathtaking views of the river and the canyon stretching down the valley. Finally around 2 pm we will have lunch. You have time to relax, put your feet up and have some refreshing tea before we get ready to hike again for 2 hours, we will reach our campsite by 5 pm where we will spend the night at 1.900 meters.

Our total hiking time will be about six hours

Day 2.- CHIK'ISCCA – MARAMPATA – CHOQUEK'IRAW.

After breakfast, we will leave early in order to descend to Playa Rosalinas and the magnificent Apurimac River (1550 meters) about 1 hour hike. Here we will begin our 2 hours steep climb to Santa Rosa (2095 meters high) where we will have time to take a refreshing break, rest and buy some water. We will continue uphill for another 2 hours towards Marampata (3,000 m) a flat ground where we can rest and enjoy a splendid view of Apurimac choquequirao-trek-4days-tours-cusco-cuzco-3canyon and the famous Inca site of choquek'iraw. Here we will have lunch and take advantage of the facilities (toilets and wash room). We will continue to hike for another two hours to reach our campsite which is located just outside of the Inca site (3100 meters high). It is important to leave all our belongings in our tents so that we can spend the evening in the ruins hands free. Here we can watch the amazing sunset and have a chance to see condors flying nearby .

Day 3.- CHOQUEK'IRAW - MARAMPATA – LA PLAYA.

After an early breakfast we will visit the mysterious Inca site of Choquek'iraw where our professional tour guide will explain about the history of the choquequirao-trek-4days-tours-cusco-cuzco-4magnificent Inca site. We will also visit the most important parts of this Inca ruins such as the main plaza, Upper choquek'iraw, ceremonial sector and the famous Llama sector where Incas represented the sacred animal on their buildings. After the tour, we have extra time to explore and enjoy the scenery ourselves and head off to our campsite for lunch break. When we return to marampata there are spectacular views of the canyon along the way where we can identify various flowers, orchids and observe different types of birds that can be found in this area. After a 4 hour walk downhill we will reach our campsite called La playa (1500 meters above sea level ) where we are going to stay the night beside the famous river Apurimac ( 'speak god' ).

Day 4.- LA PLAYA – CAPULIYOC – CACHORA- CUSCO.

We will leave the campsite extremely early, in order to arrive back in cusco by the evening. From this point to Capuliyoc is uphill for 4 hours. This is a choquequirao-trek-4days-tours-cusco-cuzcoonce in a lifetime trek through the beautiful mountains where you can see spectacular views of snow capped mountains that one must see in Padrayoc ( 5400m, and Salkantay 6200 m ), if the weather permits, the valley usually starts to warm up as the the sun starts to rise we will have the opportunity to see some condors and eagles flying above us. This will be our last stop over where we will have our outdoor lunch and hike the last 2 hours to get to Cachora where we will say our farewell to our horses' men who carried all our belongings along the way. Afterwards, we will board our bus back to Cusco.
