Alpaca's Dedicated to the Kids of Cusco

As a company, Alpaca Expeditions is focused on creating amazing, personalized trips for everyone who travels with us through Peru. But we are also focused on giving back to our community, the community that we were raised in and that makes this country so special.

Because of this commitment, Alpaca Expeditions has began some charitable work focusing on the kids of Cusco. We have started with the village of Wacawasi, which is our first camping site on the Lares trek. We always bring school supplies with us to give them because we want to make sure they have everything they need to continue with their schooling. We always make a huge pot of hot chocolate to share with them, but only if they help us to clean the grounds of the village by picking up bottles and other garbage past hikers have left. We try to teach them how to cherish their land and how important it is to be dedicated to their studies.

We hope that you will join us in our effort to give these kids everything they need to prosper. If you have any shoes or jackets or anything you think would be useful to these kids and can fit it in your luggage, it would be an amazing way to participate in this effort.
