We’ve just completed the 4D/3N Inca Trail with Alpaca Expeditions, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organized, and the entire team went above and beyond to make this adventure so special. Our guides, Jhymy and Felix, were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, supportive, and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves while sharing interesting insights about the trail and its history. They made the whole experience even more meaningful. A special shout-out to our chef, Sebastian, who truly exceeded all expectations. The food was absolutely incredible throughout the trek! It’s hard to believe he managed to prepare such delicious and varied meals using such limited equipment and a tiny cooking setup in the mountains. The marshmallows and even a cake were the icing on the cake (literally!) and such a wonderful surprise after long days of hiking. We also want to recognize Sergio, the head of the porters, and the entire porter team. Their hard work, dedication, and effort behind the scenes were truly remarkable and made the whole trek possible. We have so much respect for everything they do to make this experience comfortable and memorable for trekkers. On top of everything, we were lucky to have such a lovely group of fellow hikers! We had so much fun together, shared plenty of laughs, and really enjoyed each other’s company along the way. It made the entire adventure even more special. Reaching Machu Picchu after four days on the trail was an incredible feeling, and we’ll remember this adventure for the rest of our lives. We couldn’t have asked for a better team, a better group, or a better experience. We highly recommend Alpaca Expeditions to anyone considering the Inca Trail! Alpaca Expeditions are run like a well-oiled machine (They are known as 'The Green Machine') but with a very personal touch and excellent staff. The Inka Trail is an amazing experience in itself; Alpaca make it extra special, very informative and very safe. Our guide Wilber Ocon was amazing, knowledgeable and kept the walking pace at a level we could all 'enjoy'. And finally, the food is out of this world - the chefs work miracles on the mountain side. Getting to Macchu Picchu was the icing on the cake, the Alpaca Incal Trail experience was the cake itself.

Did the sacred valley tour with Rony. Excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to keep our group together and well entertained.

Due to a personal issue, I couldn't complete the full Salkantay Trek, but the agency stepped in right away to make sure I still got to see Machu Picchu. It was such a thoughtful and professional gesture. We did the 4 day three night private trek with Ricardo as our guide and Pedro as our chef, supported by a great team of porters. Everything was well organized and communicated - starting with the briefing at our hotel, continued throughout. We felt like we were well fed throughout - we couldn’t believe how Pedro could make such amazing tasty food in a tent in the mountains! Ricardo was a great guide - very friendly and enjoyable to be around, and he gave us great advice and guidance. The hiking was challenging, but manageable. All around an amazing trip.
