Community Cleanup: Restoring the Trail to Kilometer 82 with Tiaparo and Alpaca Expeditions
On September 7, 2024, Alpaca Expeditions, in collaboration with the Tiaparo community, led an important initiative to restore and clean up a neglected section of the trail located kilometers before the start of the renowned Inca Trail. This effort focused on revitalizing areas of significant cultural and historical value, reaffirming the commitment to preserving the region’s heritage.
The project not only involved cleaning the trail but also included the donation of essential tools, such as picks and shovels, along with basic supplies like rice, sugar, and other necessities, to support the community’s work. This collective effort symbolizes a shared dedication to conserving local history and improving the natural environment, strengthening the bond between culture and nature.
