Pampahuaylla is a small town located 1 hour from Limatambo. On Sunday, June 2, we left at 3:00 am from the city of Cusco to the town of Pampahuaylla. We arrived at the local school which would also be our meeting point. The groups were waiting for us with great enthusiasm and boarded our bus with the leaders to the mountains of the seven colors Vinicunca nowadays called Rainbow Mountains. It was approximately 9:00 am when we arrived at Vinicunca. Before the long walk that awaited us our cook made for us hot Cholocale with a huge piece of CHUTA. When we all were finished we start the day anxiously. Our uphill hike which was a rough 3 hours and more than 3 miles / 5 kilometers above sea level before reaching the top of the mountain. It was there that the guide showed everyone the beautiful combination of colors in that mountain and the natural beauty that our land offers us. Despite the cold, our group of children was so excited that they could not stop taking pictures.
We prepared a delicious lunch that gave them the energy to make the descent down the mountain. We all boarded our bus to return to their town. All the children had a great day.
as we return to their school at 7:00 p.m.. As we took them back to their homes and families they were so full of gratitude and affection, they wanted us to meet everyone. Next time we will have the opportunity to carry out another social project.
